Fake, but nobody else

But I would have obliged,

But real life came for us,

Stranding me,
We both just smiled,
Thin-lipped and scarce…

The past fade…

But nobody like

To see the days through

Nobody that would understand,
That might want me like I want you now,

And, for that alone…
